Motivation versus Organizational Goals
What makes a company business successful nowadays is that it considers the elements of progress by adopting new trends and strategies. The adaptation of new strategies adds a factor to improve the business in ways that it provides a better management performance. However, when the business activities do not meet the expectation to succeed in the long run, there must be a total revamp of the plans and methods in management. It is that motivation and organizational goal unify to meet both ends of the business processes.
Motivation drives the employees to perform better in a company. The components of this motivation can be internal or external, which influences them to work on certain tasks. Internal motivation encourages workers to develop the sense of tasks assigned to them. Employees then are willing to work on the tasks because of promotion, praise, and prestige. They are motivated to achieve several assignments as long as they know positive reinforcements that await them. Meanwhile, external motivation leads also to better performance. For example, salaries, incentives, and gifts are driving forces to motivate these employees to work better. Whatever drives employees to perform their tasks, motivation is a factor that helps them lead to total quality performance.
Further, employees also should meet the organizational goals. These goals are set standards that the employees need to accomplish. Besides, good management has good organizational goals to achieve in order to succeed in business. Notwithstanding, people have to commit themselves with these goals for personal and professional growth in the company that they work with for years. That is why employees and employers must work with the company’s goals and objectives.
Motivation factors and organizational goals are two comparative terms to mean business. However, they are of no contrasts. It is because motivation is a requirement to meet organizational goals. For example, employees get motivated to perform certain tasks because of the company’s goals to improve lifestyles of all employees. By doing it, the management will provide more positive reinforcements so that the employees will meet the company’s requirement. In other words, there will be a mutual understanding both the employee and the employer in order to succeed in business.
In summary, the connection between motivation and organizational goal gets closer to the line. It is suggested that in order to achieve this end better organizational goals be set so that employees will work better. They will be motivated and even progressed in any business activities, and in a long run these businesses can stand for more years. The set goals are very essential in business as they are the springboard to success. They are determinants to the development of the company business. Without them, motivation may be too low. As a result, mismanagement occurs or business fails.
